Do you have milk chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and about 24 Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups? If yes, then this awesome, rich fudge can be in your near future. ;) (Here’s a recipe for homemade sweetened condensed milk, if you want to try that out.)

I actually stocked up on a few bags of Reese’s cups during the Halloween candy sales in order to make this fudge recipe. Somehow I stashed them away well enough that I still had the right amount available for the fudge.

When a recipe includes sweetened condensed milk and chocolate, you know it is going good places. Do you agree? I recommend Guittard milk chocolate chips. They usually go on sale once or twice during the baking season sales and are probably the best chocolate chips ever.

The bottom layer of Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups may get a little tight, but I just gently squeeze them all in there.

Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup Fudge Recipe

Ingredients

  • 24 Reese's Peanut Butter Cups, unwrapped and divided
  • 3 cups milk chocolate chips
  • 1 can sweetened condensed milk (14 oz)

Instructions

  1. Line an 8x8 glass dish with foil and spray with nonstick cooking spray. Place 16 whole peanut butter cups in a single layer, lining the bottom of the prepared dish. Set aside.
  2. In a large microwave-safe bowl, mix together the chocolate chips and sweetened condensed milk. Microwave the chocolate mixture for 30-second intervals until smooth and melted, about 2 minutes. Pour the chocolate over the Reese's and smooth the top.
  3. Chop up the remaining 8 peanut butter cups and press the pieces into the top of the fudge. Let cool to room temperature, about 1 hour, then refrigerate for a few hours. Once it is set, remove the fudge from the pan by lifting the foil out, cut the fudge into squares, and serve!
